1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name.
Content you submit. When you run an audit, we process the text, images, or video links you submit so our AI auditors can review them. Your content is used only to provide the audit results to you.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use MistakeFinder, such as the features you use, audit history, and device and browser information.
Communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of your messages and contact details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve MistakeFinder. Specifically, we use it to:
Run content audits and deliver audit results to you.
Maintain your account, audit history, and audit-of-record trail.
Respond to your questions and support requests.
Improve our auditors, detect abuse, and keep the platform secure.
Send service updates, security notices, and (with your consent) marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers. Companies that help us operate MistakeFinder, such as hosting, payment processing, and email delivery. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal requirements. If the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MistakeFinder, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Audit records are retained according to your plan so you have a defensible audit-of-record trail. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal or security reasons.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@mistakefinder.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
6. Security
We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
7. Children’s Privacy
MistakeFinder is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
We may process your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
